HORSMAN “SOFTEE” DOLL IN PINK ORGANZA DRESS, TAGS! 1940s.

She wears a pink organza gown with embroidered decoration on the bodice (which closes in the back with tiny safety pins).  She also has a matching bonnet that ties under her chin with pink ribbon ties.  White cotton slip, white silky socks, and white oilcloth tie shoes with paper soles complete her ensemble.
Her dimpled arms and legs are stuffed soft, washable vinyl, the body is stuffed cotton.  There is a “Mama” crying mechanism in the chest, but this will only sound when her back is tapped.
The first paper hang-tag, which is pinned to the front of her dress, is blue and cream with silver-foil print.  There is an illustration of the doll, and the following printing:  “Life Like”, HORSMAN Softee Plastic, *Skin-Like Arms and Legs, * Flexible Fingers, * Sleeps and Cries.
The other hang-tag, which hangs from a string tied around her wrist, describes the advantages of Horsman’s Vinylite Plastics Softee Doll.
CONDITION:
As mentioned, the crier mechanism only sounds when prompted.  There is some aging to the organza material of the dress, and a spot here and there, but no rips, tears, or repairs.
There is one tiny hairline in the corner of her right eye, two smaller ones above her rught eye, and a rub to the color on her lower lip.  There is no damage to the vinyl of her arms or legs.

1940's-1950's Hard Plastic:
Duchess ~ Nancy Ann Storybook ~ Virga

VINTAGE HARD PLASTIC VELVET COSTUMES 2 COLONIAL DOLLS, 1950s.
This is a set of old 1950's hard plastic dolls dressed in authentic Colonial America Costumes.
The male doll wears a non-removable dark red velvet tail coat with lace cuffs, matching knee-length britches and tricorn hat. A gold and floral patterned vest with white buttons and cut-out jabot complete his ensemble. His glued on wig is white, possibly mohair, tied in a queue in the back. His shoes are molded onto his feet, and are painted white as are his "stockings". The doll is unmarked and measures approx. 8" tall. He features pale blue "pinwheel" sleep eyes with painted eyebrows, eyelashes, and closed mouth. He is articulated at the neck and shoulders.
His mate, measuring approx. 8 ¼" tall (with her hat), is likewise dressed in red velvet. Her floor-length gown is cut-away in the front to reveal seven layers of eyelet, with a white ribbon trimming her hem ending with a bow at the top of the cut-away. The same eyelet makes a broad collar. There is a wire farthingale attached to her waist between the dress and her cotton slip. She also has painted on shoes, and white taffeta underwear rather than stockings. Her hat, in a similar style as his tricorn, is accented with a golden medallion. Her glued on wig is also white, and styled in period, dressed high with many waves and curls. She has her original white plastic and metal stand, which is marked "Industrial Specialties N.Y.C." and "3" on the bottom. Her eyes, a slightly darker shade of blue, are also "pinwheel" open/close, and she has the same painted facial features as her mate. She is articulated at the neck and shoulders.
CONDITION:
Both dolls are in very fine condition. Their whites are still very clean and the velvet material of their costumes is clean and soft. These dolls come from a smoke-free environment.

In front of the flower is a multicolored "enamel" hairpiece featuring the letters "B, F, C, & L" in a rainbow across the letter "R" in a triangle. She wears white high heels. Included with this offer is a new doll stand.
Condition is excellent. There is one slight imperfection in that material over the doll's right knee, but does not distract as this is behind the bouquet.

Allied Eastern Adorable Baby Crier Doll, Elf Snow Suit 1950s.
This is a wonderful, vintage 1950's soft vinyl doll. She measures approx. 16" tall, but 19" if you count the top of her darling elf hat! She has close-cropped, rooted dark blond curls. Her blue awake/asleep eyes are accented by real lashes, with painted eyebrows, a red bow mouth, & pink cheeks.
The body is made entirely from cotton stuffed soft vinyl, giving the skin a realistic texture. Her fingers & toes are detailed, with dimples on the knuckles & on the knees. Her knees are slightly bent.
This little snow sprite is still wearing her original outfit, which consists of: powder blue flannel snowsuit (with built-in footies)… hat with curved & pointed top… & mittens. All three pieces are made from the same material, with pink net framing the face on the hat & around the collar of the snowsuit. The mittens are attached together with pink ribbon. The same ribbon adorns the ankles, tying in a bow. There are two dark blue buttons attached to the front of the suit, in the shape of a flower. The suit closes in the back with two (original) mini gold safety pins.
The back of the head is marked "AE" {Allied Eastern}. The body is obviously stuffed vinyl, & it does not feel like there is a cry-box or other mechanism inside, but she "squeaks" or "cries" when her tummy is pressed.
CONDITION:
The doll is in Excellent condition. There are no splits in the delicate vinyl body. There is some age discoloration to the flannel snowsuit, consistent with the age of this doll.

Vintage WICKER Rocking Doll Cradle.
A unique item for the Lover's of antique/vintage Doll furniture! We are offering this beautiful 1930's Antique White painted WICKER Doll cradle. The outside frame is braided, with rods forming the hood and the sides. The base is a solid piece of wood with the rods penetrating through to the bottom. There are two small crescents nailed on, which form the rockers. The sturdy construction is also indicative of the age.
The interior is lined with white lace over pink Chiffon, which is both sewn & tacked into place. The lace is double sided so that it shows from the front & on the interior. There is also a matching baby pillow & case made from these materials. A hand made mattress lines the bottom, made from a baby print terry cloth material. Cradle measures approx. 19 ½" long x 9" wide x 11" high, and a 16" to 17" doll fit comfortably.
It appears that the cradle was originally painted in the shade of green that was so popular during the Depression. Spots of green are visible through the white paint, especially between the braiding.
CONDITION:
This item is in Excellent condition, especially considering it's age & intended use. There is a split in one rod of the hood, which was wired together & painted over many moons ago. There is one rod missing from the same area. Lace & Chiffon lining appear to be added at a later date, but are a lovely addition nonetheless.
